Richard fulfilled various roles in the political offices of the Government of Québec, notably as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industry and Commerce, and as co-chair of the winning leadership campaign of the Honourable Daniel Johnson, Premier of Québec, 1994.
More recently, during the last general election campaign for the Government of Québec in 2018, Richard worked successfully for the election of the Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ) government as director of the organization of the electoral riding of Soulanges in western Québec.
In 2014, Richard co-hosted the lunch time talk show “Duhaime le midi” on RNC Media’s Radio X Montréal 91.9FM. From September 2014 to August 2015, Richard was the political commentator on Radio 9 Montréal’s daily morning talk show, “Lemieux in the Morning,” promoting a True-Blue conservative perspective on the issues of the day.
In respect of his NGO experience, as its Chief Executive Officer Richard led Food Banks Québec, a non-profit organization federating 15 regional organizations and more than 1,000 food banks across Québec, and he sat on the Provincial Associations Council of Food Banks Canada. Richard also chaired World Vision Canada – Québec.
Richard’s engaged in graduate studies in Philosophy–Applied Ethics from the University of Sherbrooke, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Québec in Montréal, and a Leadership & Management Development Certificate from Harvard University.
